Location: Milwaukee, WI

Contract: Part-time, Freelance

Job Description

Sports Broadcast Solutions (SBS) is currently seeking both freelance and pro bono videographers for in-person broadcasts/telecasts. The role includes quickly responding to communications, having a passion for videography, and producing high-quality sports broadcasts for non-professional athletes. The position demands dedication to framing shots and understanding the nature of live broadcasting.

Requirements

  • Ability to respond quickly to mass Blind Carbon Copy emails.
  • Passion for the product; interest in videography beyond just earning a paycheck.
  • Preferred sports videography demo reel.
  • Previous experience in videography, particularly in live sports, is highly recommended but not required.
  • Capability to shoot with the mindset of editing in post-production—but primarily we film without relying on post-editing.
  • Ability to thrive in a somewhat stressful environment.
  • Understanding of live broadcasting intricacies.
  • Able to work as a technical director, slow motion instant replay video editor, or StatCrew digital live statistics technician when videographer role is unavailable.
  • Enjoyment of non-professional sports broadcasts, with a focus on travel baseball, high school athletics, college athletics, AAU basketball, Pop Warner football, travel hockey, etc.
  • Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Video Production, Broadcast Journalism, or a related major is highly recommended.

Pay: $50.00 - $62.00 per hour
