Job Description

We are looking for a reliable videographer/content creator to support ongoing content production by filming on-location, real-world scenarios. This role is focused on capturing footage, not directing, producing, or editing. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in public environments and can maintain steady, consistent coverage for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Film on-location content in public settings
• Follow direction and maintain framing while walking or standing for long periods
• Capture clean, usable footage for documentary-style content
• Manage camera operation, basic exposure, and audio awareness
• Stay focused and consistent during 4-hour filming blocks
• Transfer footage at the end of each session (same day or next day)

Requirements

• Experience with handheld video shooting
• Comfortable filming in public spaces and crowded environments
• Ability to follow direction and adapt quickly
• Reliable and punctual
• Able to film continuously for 4 hours at a time
• Familiar with DSLR, mirrorless, or compact cinema cameras
• Comfortable using a gimbal or handheld setup (preferred)

Equipment (Preferred)

• Own camera capable of shooting high-quality video
• Basic stabilization (gimbal or steady handheld technique)
• Lavalier or on-camera mic awareness (audio setup provided if needed)

What This Role Is Not

• Not an editing position
• Not a directing role
• Not a social media management role

This is a capture-focused position.

Additional Information

Location: New York City

Commitment: ~10 hours per week (typically 4-hour sessions)

Schedule: Flexible, based on availability

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
