Job Description

Halogen Engineering Group is looking for a Software Engineer with 7+ years of experience and a current TS/SCI w/Poly clearance. The candidate will be responsible for creating, sustaining, and troubleshooting complex operational data flows, which include data storage, transport, management, security, compliance, and knowledge store management. The role also involves performing exploratory data analysis on raw data to clean, enrich, transform, and convert it into required formats. The Software Engineer will work both independently and as part of a team to design, develop, test, deploy, document, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems. This includes handling processing-intensive analytics, algorithm development, manipulation of large data sets, and real-time systems.

Requirements

• Experience using the Linux CLI.
• Experience creating, managing, and troubleshooting complex operational data flows.
• Experience using Apache NiFi canvas to process and distribute data.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
• Experience with IaC principles and automation tools including Ansible.
• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence).

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science or related discipline with at least five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer (SWE).
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline with at least seven (7) years of experience as a SWE.
• Alternatively, nine (9) years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Preferred Skills

• General HPC technical knowledge regarding compute, networks, memory, and storage components.
• Experience with corporate data flow processes and tools.
• Experience with corporate data security and compliance procedures and policies.
• Experience writing scripts using Bash/Python.

Salary and Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $234K to $241K (annualized USD). Salary is determined by various factors including location, education, knowledge, skills, experience, and organizational requirements.
