Job Description
Advanced Systems Design is seeking a SQL Application Developer for our client located in Montgomery, AL. This position is onsite in Montgomery, AL, and requires in-person availability starting day 1.
- Responsible for new development and maintenance of the existing application for Eligibility & Enrollment (CARES).
- Perform systems analysis, design, and development.
- Execute moderately to highly complex programming and systems analysis work on projects impacting multiple applications to support end-user needs.
- Full proficiency in Microsoft SQL server TSQL to create Stored Procedures, SSIS ETL packages, Unit tests, and Documentation of developed code.
- Provide status updates as requested by the Project Manager and Development Manager.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of software development experience using SQL Server.
- 5 years of database development experience.
- 5 years of ETL development experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development tools (e.g., Visual Studio, Chrome Developer Tools, SSRS).
- Experience using TFS/Azure DevOps as Source Control.
- Experience with Agile Scrum project development methodology.
- Full proficiency in T-SQL.
- Ability to develop new SSIS/SSRS packages, create Stored Procedures, SSIS ETL Packages, Unit tests, and document developed code.
- Ability to write moderate to advanced SQL commands and troubleshoot database procedures and ETL packages.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Skills in data analysis, task, and workflow analysis.
- Experience with SQL Server’s latest version.
- Hands-on with all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle.
- Willingness to assist with interviews when required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in State Government, Medicaid, CHIP, and DHR business areas or the healthcare industry.
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
