This role is a Freelance Local Producer position with Sofar Sounds, a global community that connects creatives and audiences through unique live experiences. The role involves building and executing local strategies for events, affecting community engagement in various spaces. Producers will collaborate with a global network, ensuring high-quality event curation, marketing, and execution while being part of an entrepreneurial work environment. This position operates on a freelance, commission-based partnership, requiring self-direction and performance accountability.

Requirements

• Deep connections to the local scene and an active role in community building.
• 3-5 years of experience in live event curation, production, and promotions.
• Experience in selling event sponsorships or marketing activations, preferably in live events or experiential marketing.
• Confidence in pitching ideas and event concepts to potential sponsors with a proven track record of closing deals.
• Strong knowledge of the local city and its neighborhoods.
• Excellent relationship-building skills with community-driven organizations, media partners, or local businesses.
• Ability to promote and build strategic alliances that increase ticket sales.
• Professionalism and ownership of work, ensuring optimal experiences for all stakeholders.
• Exceptional time management and clear communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while staying connected with the broader organization.
