Job Description

My name is Giovanni. I’m a music producer creating original records from scratch on a professionally produced music TV series. Each episode documents the real creative process—ideas becoming finished records—captured in a private studio built for broadcast-quality video and professional-grade audio recording. This is a focused, producer-led environment where decisions matter and records get made. I’m seeking session musicians who are comfortable working under clear direction, collaborating without ego, and contributing to a serious creative process that is filmed.

Requirements for the Role

Instruments of Interest

I’m open to a wide range of instruments, including but not limited to:

• Guitar & Strings: Electric, acoustic, and classical guitar; Bass guitar (electric or upright); Lap steel / pedal steel; Violin, viola, cello, double bass; Harp; Mandolin, banjo, ukulele.
• Keys & Electronic: Piano; Electric piano (Rhodes / Wurlitzer); Synthesizers; Organ (Hammond, pipe, or digital); MIDI or hybrid electronic setups.
• Drums & Rhythm: Drum kit; Electronic or hybrid drums; Hand percussion; Congas, bongos, djembe; Shakers and auxiliary percussion.
• Brass & Woodwinds: Saxophone (all ranges); Trumpet; Trombone; French horn; Flute; Clarinet / bass clarinet; Oboe.
• Vocals: Lead vocalists; Background vocalists; Choir / harmony groups; Spoken word or vocal texture.
• Traditional, World & Specialty: Accordion; Harmonica; Steel drums; World or folk instruments; Experimental or uncommon instruments.

What to Expect

• Professionally filmed, on-camera recording sessions
• Original music created entirely from scratch
• Clear creative direction from the producer
• A low-stress, focused environment (the pressure is on the producer, not the musicians)
• Sessions may run 2–8 hours, depending on content and creative flow
• Meals may be provided on longer days (not guaranteed; schedule-dependent)
• Tips or discretionary bonuses may be offered
• Smoking permitted
• Drinking permitted during breaks, responsibly

Session & Filming Notes

• Sessions may involve recording multiple tracks in one day
• Because filming is involved, wardrobe changes are required between songs
• Please plan for a minimum of five outfits per session
• Outfit changes occur between songs only, never mid-performance
• Compensation is discussed and agreed upon in advance of each session
