Job Description

This is a freelance full-time hours project / limited term position with an estimated duration of up to 4 – 12 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed. The NBC Sports On Air Graphics Team is looking for a broadcast motion graphics designer for its rapidly growing portfolio of live sports properties and studio shows. Responsibilities include hands-on production of broadcast motion design work, updating existing elements and templates for properties such as Sunday Night Football, NBA, Premier League, College Football, and more. Collaboration with a team of sports design creatives is essential, along with a strong understanding of design tools such as After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Cinema 4D.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • College graduate with degree in graphic design or fine arts
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working at a network or broadcast design agency
  • Understanding of the implementation of design elements in network television and live sports environments
  • Passion for show packaging and knowledge of current trends in graphic design
  • Strong at concept & storyboard design
  • Strong design and typography skills
  • Strong understanding of the value of good motion theory
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Flexible, detail-oriented, and deadline driven
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe After Effects
  • Extensive knowledge of Maxon Cinema 4D, including modeling, texturing, lighting, animating, dynamics, MoGraph, render optimization, Red Shift, etc.

Salary

Salary range: $500 – $800 per day.
