Job Description

Mindrift is seeking a Freelance Software Developer (Ruby) to serve as an AI Trainer. The role involves collaborating on projects aimed at enhancing Generative AI models’ capabilities in addressing specialized questions and achieving complex reasoning abilities. Responsibilities include designing prompt variations, evaluating edge behaviors and performance regressions, aligning prompts with project constraints, iterating on strategies using test results and feedback, and documenting patterns and limitations.

Requirements

Candidates should meet the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Software Development, Computer Science, or related fields
• 3+ years of professional experience with an excellent command of Ruby and key ecosystem tools (e.g., RSpec, Bundler)
• Confident use of Git and standard Linux CLI tools
• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
• Deep understanding of testing principles and test-driven development (TDD); strong skills in debugging, profiling, and code optimization
• Level of English is advanced (C1) or above

Desirable qualifications include:

• Contributions to open-source Ruby projects
• Experience with large monorepositories or major open-source projects
• Experience with automated benchmarking, scripting, or infrastructure-as-code tools
• Experience working with AI-generated code or in code evaluation projects
