Job Description

NC FAST requires the services of a senior Java developer to provide business and systems analysis, modeling, design, and programming for FNS/SNAP development and maintenance operations using ORACLE, Java, and Curam programming technologies. The contractor will assist with implementation and maintenance of data extracts, ETL batch jobs, and reports for NC Families Accessing Services through Technology (NC FAST) using Cúram Software and Oracle.

The selected candidate will analyze reporting requirements for NC FAST Case Management System reports, implement recommendations for effective data reporting, design and document data interfaces and reporting solutions, and enhance existing data extracts and reports. The role requires gathering and documenting requirements for both new and existing data extracts and reports, developing complex queries against large data tables, and writing effective SQL queries. The candidate will also analyze existing reports to fix issues, extract data, and develop operational performance metrics and reports, ensuring the integrity of data extracts through validation and audit strategies. This position includes 24x7 On Call support/rotation responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Cúram V6/7/8 Certified Developer; V8 preferred - Required 5 Years
  • Technical knowledge in web application system analysis and programming: Java, J2SE, J2EE, XML, and XSL - Required 5 Years
  • Experience in configuring, designing, developing, and testing dashboards using Power BI - Required 5 Years
  • Experience in using Oracle, Oracle Utilities, ETL tools - Required 7 Years
  • Experience with Relational Database modeling - Required 7 Years
  • Experience with structured system development methodologies - Required 7 Years
  • Ability to develop relationships/partnerships with customers, responding to needs with a sense of urgency, and independently identifying options - Required 7 Years
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and follow complex technical procedures - Required 7 Years
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Business Objects or BIRT - Highly desired 5 Years
  • Experience with Agile (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe) development - Highly desired 3 Years
  • Ability to lead and mentor the team and take ownership - Highly desired 5 Years
