Job Description

NP Environmental is a Central New York–based HVAC contractor specializing in geothermal and air-source heat pump systems. We design, install, and service high-performance, energy-efficient systems for residential and commercial clients. As we continue to grow, we are investing heavily in high-quality visual content to support marketing, sales, and internal training.

We are seeking a creative, reliable, and field-comfortable Videographer to capture real job-site activity, create explainer and educational videos, and support sales and technician training content. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working hands-on, traveling locally, and turning real-world work into compelling visual stories. You will work closely with our leadership, sales, and technical teams to document installations, service work, and behind-the-scenes processes that showcase the quality and professionalism of NP Environmental.

Key Responsibilities

Field Video & Photography:

  • Travel to local job sites to capture:
  • Technicians working on geothermal and heat-pump installations
  • Service calls, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities
  • Equipment, piping, loop fields, and mechanical rooms
  • Capture high-quality photos for:
  • Website, proposals, and case studies
  • Social media and marketing materials

Video Production:

  • Film and edit:
  • Explainer videos (How geothermal works, system components, benefits, etc.)
  • Sales support videos (customer education, proposal walkthroughs)
  • Internal training videos (installation steps, best practices, safety, service procedures)
  • Produce short-form and long-form video content optimized for:
  • Website
  • LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Internal training library

Editing & Post-Production:

  • Edit raw footage into polished, professional content
  • Add basic motion graphics, text overlays, and branding
  • Organize and maintain a clean digital media library
  • Deliver content in multiple formats (short clips, reels, full videos)

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in videography and basic photography
  • Comfortable filming in active construction/mechanical environments
  • Ability and willingness to travel to job sites (valid driver’s license required)
  • Proficiency with common editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and storytelling
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills:

  • Experience filming construction, HVAC, engineering, or industrial work
  • Drone experience (FAA Part 107 certification is a plus, not required)
  • Basic understanding of mechanical or technical systems
  • Experience creating content for sales or training purposes
  • Familiarity with social-media-optimized video formats

Additional Information

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 25.0 per week
