Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled, detail-oriented Freelance Audio / Video Engineer & Podcast Producer to support the production of a premium podcast. This role is ideal for someone who is both technically excellent and creatively sharp — someone who can own the end-to-end production process from set-up to final distribution. You will be responsible for preparing the filming environment, recording high-quality audio and video, editing episodes, and publishing content across all major podcast and video platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Set-Up

• Prepare and manage the podcast filming setup (audio, video, lighting, cameras, microphones).
• Ensure optimal sound quality and visual framing for each recording.
• Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and calmly during recordings.
• Maintain consistency in look, sound, and production quality across episodes.

Editing & Post-production

• Edit podcast audio for clarity, pacing, tone, and professional polish.
• Edit video episodes for YouTube and social distribution (cuts, transitions, color correction, basic graphics if needed).
• Sync audio and video seamlessly.
• Export final files in platform-appropriate formats.

Publishing & Distribution

• Upload and publish podcast episodes across all major platforms, including:
• Apple Podcasts
• Spotify
• YouTube (full episodes and clips)
• Manage episode metadata (titles, descriptions, thumbnails, show notes if provided).
• Ensure timely releases and consistent publishing schedules.

Workflow & Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with the host and creative team to align on tone, pacing, and brand vision.
• Organize and manage media files efficiently.
• Provide guidance on production improvements, gear recommendations, and workflow optimization.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience producing and editing podcasts (audio + video).
• Strong proficiency with audio and video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Pro Tools, Audition, Logic, etc.).
• Solid understanding of microphones, cameras, lighting, and recording environments.
• Experience publishing content across podcast hosting platforms and YouTube.
• Strong attention to detail and high standards for quality.
• Reliable, organized, and able to work independently.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, creative environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience producing video podcasts or studio-style interviews.
• Knowledge of short-form clip creation for social media.
• Familiarity with podcast analytics and platform best practices.
• Ability to grow into a long-term production partner or full-time role.
