Job Description

We help business owners grow by showcasing their expertise, personality, and real work through video. This role serves our brand first and clients second. You will be the primary videographer for the business, focusing on filming content that highlights:

• How the owner works
• How we serve clients
• Behind-the-scenes of meetings, strategy, and daily operations
• Educational and authority-style YouTube content

You will collaborate closely with the owner to plan, capture, and shape this content, occasionally helping to film content for our marketing clients, although that is secondary. This is a documentation and storytelling role, not a commercial ad production role.

Who This Is For

• Experience filming in run-and-gun environments
• Able to stay aware and capture moments as they happen
• Understanding of YouTube and social content, not just cinematic visuals
• Comfortable around business conversations and client interactions
• Ability to direct shots and guide people casually on camera
• Think in terms of story, message, and audience attention
• Able to work closely with a founder and move quickly

Who This Is NOT For

• Those who prefer highly controlled, cinematic projects
• Individuals who need detailed shot lists for every shoot
• People who prefer staying behind a computer instead of filming in the field
• Those who feel awkward directing people on camera
• Individuals who struggle to adapt when plans change
• Those who only want to work on client productions

Most filming days will be fluid and unscripted, so you must be comfortable figuring things out in real-time.

Responsibilities

• Film marketing content for the business on an ongoing basis
• Document the owner during meetings, client work, and events
• Capture behind-the-scenes of internal operations
• Help plan and shoot YouTube and social media videos
• Occasionally film content for clients
• Organize and upload raw footage
• Communicate creative direction to the editing team
• Guide the owner and others on how to come across naturally on camera

Editing is helpful but is not the main requirement. Strong filming instincts and creative direction matter more.

Skills & Experience

• Strong handheld and run-and-gun camera skills
• Solid understanding of audio and basic lighting
• Ability to think beyond single shots and see the bigger story
• Familiarity with Premiere or similar editing software
• Good communication with both team members and clients
• Organized, dependable, and punctual
