Videographer is needed in Tokyo, Japan.
Shoot for a short documentary for the Strategic Nonviolence Academy, focusing on Seikatsu Club, a large Japanese cooperative. Filming will occur over four half-days between February 6-9 in and around Tokyo (up to two hours by train). Responsibilities include both verité documentary shooting and interviews in a variety of settings such as farms, cooperative strategy sessions, and social spaces. The work requires a one-person crew comfortable with shooting and interviewing. Required gear includes a C70/80 or FX3/6 level cinema camera, NTG3/416-level shotgun mic, and wireless lavaliers. Food and train travel are provided. Japanese fluency is a plus but not mandatory. Must be experienced, socially adept, and able to build rapport quickly. Please submit documentary work samples with the gear you would use.
