Job Description

We’re hiring a Web Developer who can confidently build, customize, and maintain Shopify and WordPress websites. This is not a learning role—you should already be comfortable working in both platforms and shipping production-ready sites.

Responsibilities

• Build, customize, and maintain Shopify and WordPress websites
• Develop custom themes, templates, and page layouts
• Implement new features, integrations, and third-party apps/plugins
• Ensure websites are responsive, fast, and SEO-friendly
• Troubleshoot bugs, performance issues, and site errors
• Collaborate with designers and marketing teams to execute projects

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Web Developer
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Hands-on experience with Shopify and WordPress (themes, customization, troubleshooting)
• Understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and performance optimization
• Familiarity with SEO best practices
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Required

• Portfolio of live Shopify and/or WordPress websites (required — links must be provided)
• Ability to explain your technical approach and development decisions
• Experience deploying and maintaining live websites

Nice to Have

• Shopify Liquid experience
• Custom WordPress theme or plugin development
• Experience with page builders (Elementor, Gutenberg, WPBakery)
• Git/GitHub version control
• Experience with eCommerce optimization and conversions

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
