Job Description

Framestore Integrated Advertising is on the lookout for exceptional design talent to join our freelancer roster. If you are interested in freelancing opportunities at our US-based offices, we invite you to submit your details. Our design freelancers should be proficient in Photoshop CC, Illustrator, and After Effects, and experience with Cinema 4D, Houdini, or Maya is a plus but not essential. The primary role involves executing animations designed and art directed by senior creative team members, necessitating strong 2D and/or 3D animation skills.

Ideal candidates may also possess skills in drawing/storyboarding, character design development, or have an interest in typography, depending on the project’s needs. Responsibilities include creating highly engaging and complex motion graphics animations for diverse projects, conceptualizing and producing design projects with internal Art Directors and Creative Directors, and generating style frames, storyboards, motion tests, and treatments for pitch presentations. Freelancers should be capable of working independently or as part of a larger team and must manage their time effectively by providing accurate workload assessments.

Requirements

Candidates for this position should have:

• Proficiency in Photoshop CC, Illustrator, and After Effects.
• Strong 2D and/or 3D animation skills.
• Experience or knowledge of Cinema 4D, Houdini, or Maya (optional but desirable).
• Ability to create storyboards and develop character designs.
• Interest in typography is a plus.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to estimate task completion accurately.

Additional Information

The pay range for this role in California and New York is as follows:

• Juniors (<1 year - 3 years experience): $25 - $35 per hour
• Mids (4 - 6 years experience): $400 - $550 per day
• Seniors (6+ years of experience): $600 - $900 per day

This pay range is aligned with the New York Pay Transparency Bill and the California Pay Transparency Law. Pay may vary in other locations outside of New York and California and is dependent on the applicant’s relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
