Job Description

Ampa Events is a dynamic and well-established creative event production services company with a rich history of delivering exceptional experiences. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Scenic Painter PT/Short Term Projects to work on various environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces and apply paint, finishes, and textures to scenery, backdrops, and set pieces using hand tools and power tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings to accurately execute design concepts.
• Collaborate with art directors, set designers, and production teams to achieve the desired aesthetic vision.
• Fabricate scenic elements through carpentry, woodworking, and fabrication techniques to build durable set components.
• Use CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as AutoCAD and SketchUp for planning and visualizing scenic elements.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by properly handling tools, materials, and equipment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in scenic painting, construction painting, or related visual arts painting disciplines.
• Proficiency with SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, and other CAD or design software.
• Familiarity with theater production processes and the ability to work efficiently on short-term projects under tight deadlines.
• Excellent teamwork skills combined with self-motivation; attention to detail is essential.

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour

Education:

• Bachelor’s (Preferred)

Experience:

• scenic painter: 3 years (Required)
• custom fabrications: 3 years (Required)
