Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet project specifications.
• Implement responsive web design principles to ensure sites are mobile-friendly and accessible across all devices.
• Integrate third-party APIs and web services to enhance site functionality.
• Optimize website performance through effective coding practices, caching strategies, and database management.
• Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Collaborate with designers, content creators, and project managers using tools like Trello to coordinate tasks efficiently.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of WordPress updates, security protocols, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• You are motivated, honest and reliable.
• Proven experience developing custom WordPress themes and plugins with a strong portfolio of live websites.
• Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery for front-end development.
• Familiarity with modern web technologies such as Bootstrap, SCSS/SASS, React or Angular is a plus.
• Experience working with databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL; understanding of SQL queries is essential.
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git or GitHub for code management.
• Ability to implement SEO best practices and optimize websites for search engines.
• Strong understanding of web hosting environments including AWS or similar cloud platforms; experience with Docker or DevOps tools is advantageous.

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
