Job Description

Images 4 Kids Austin is seeking a reliable, fast, and detail-oriented Photo Editor to handle high-volume editing for preschool and childcare center portraits. This is a production-based contract role paid per photo, where the ideal candidate is efficient, consistent, and comfortable working with large batches while meeting firm turnaround deadlines.

Seasonal Schedule

Spring Season: March – mid May

Break: Late May – August

Fall Season: September – early December

Break: Mid December – February

Opportunity to return each season based on performance and business needs.

How Pay Works

This is a production-based contract position, editors are paid $0.15 per edited photo. The hourly range shown is an estimate only and not an hourly wage. Paid bi-weekly, pay is based on completed and approved images. This is not an hourly position.

Seasonal Earning Potential (Approximate)

$3,000 – $6,000+ per season depending on volume and workload.

Responsibilities

Edit high-volume portrait sessions efficiently and consistently.

Perform color correction, exposure adjustment, cropping, and light retouching.

Maintain a clean, natural look (no heavy filters or over-editing).

Follow provided editing style guides and sample references.

Complete assigned batches by deadline.

Communicate clearly regarding workload and completion status.

Turnaround Deadlines

One-day photo job: 24 hours

Two-day photo job: 48 hours from first day of shooting

Three-day photo job: 72 hours from first day of shooting

Deadlines must be met without exception.

Requirements

Experience editing large batches of portraits.

Proficiency in Lightroom and/or Photoshop.

Strong attention to detail and consistency.

Ability to meet fast turnaround deadlines.

Reliable computer and high-speed internet.

Software

Lightroom subscription reimbursed during active season.
