Job Description
As a Senior Backend Developer / DevOps Engineer (d/m/f/x) at Mercedes-Benz Tech Innovation, you actively shape the technological foundations of the Mercedes-Benz Digital Extras Store. You will work on challenging, highly scalable software solutions and significantly contribute to the further development of digital services integrated into the Mercedes-Benz App, enhancing the driving experience.
In an innovative and dynamic environment, you will play a central role in developing modern backend architectures and operationally managing complex systems. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical implementation and stable operation of modern backend and DevOps solutions while actively contributing to the development of the Mercedes-Benz Digital Extras Store. Your key responsibilities include:
- Development, implementation, and optimization of powerful, scalable backend services
- Building and further developing the technical foundation for Digital Extras in the eCOM SDK
- Integrating digital services into the Mercedes-Benz App to improve the driving experience
- Ensuring stable, high-performance, and future-proof software operations
- Analyzing and independently solving complex technical and operational issues
- Continuous development and automation of development and DevOps processes
Requirements
- Completed degree in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in backend development
- Very good knowledge of Spring, Kotlin/Java, Maven, and Gradle
- Solid experience in the DevOps/operations environment with AWS, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Datadog, GitHub, and Nebula
- Very good German and English language skills
- Independent, structured working style and willingness for on-call duty and occasional on-site appointments
