Job Description

We are seeking an experienced freelance videographer to create clear, effective instructional and training videos within a manufacturing environment. This temporary role will support multiple departments by documenting processes, safety procedures, equipment operation, and best practices through high-quality video content. The ideal candidate has hands-on videography experience, is comfortable working on a factory floor, and can translate complex, hands-on processes into easy-to-follow visual training materials.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, shoot, and edit instructional and training videos for various manufacturing departments
  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts (operators, supervisors, engineers, safety teams) to understand workflows and training needs
  • Capture video in active manufacturing environments while following all safety protocols
  • Create clear, structured content focused on process accuracy, consistency, and repeatability
  • Edit footage into concise, engaging training videos (including titles, callouts, captions, and simple graphics as needed)
  • Maintain organized video files and project documentation
  • Adapt video style to different training purposes (onboarding, safety, quality, equipment operation, refresher training)

Required Qualifications

  • Proven freelance videography experience (portfolio required)
  • Experience filming instructional, training, or industrial content
  • Strong camera operation, lighting, and audio recording skills
  • Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar)
  • Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical and technical teams
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented processes
  • Needs their own equipment and software (software needs to be compatible with ours)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Project management experience
  • Video creation experience – motion graphics, technical documentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or technical environments
  • Familiarity with safety standards and filming in regulated workplaces
  • Experience creating standardized training or SOP-based videos
  • Basic motion graphics or on-screen annotation skills
  • Knowledge of instructional design principles (a plus, not required)

Additional Information

  • Payrate: $19–$24 per hour, based on experience
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Position Type: Temporary / contract
  • Project Deadline: All video work must be completed by June 30 (at the latest)
  • On-site filming required during scheduled hours
