As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll be essential in supporting the Engineering department, focusing on scalable maintenance and the creation of data infrastructure solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include inspecting, cleaning, transforming, and modeling information, critical for informed decision-making.

Key activities include:

• Supporting the design of data processing components on L7’s infrastructure to meet the specific needs of the company, its clients, and suppliers.
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines for integration from various sources.
• Collaborating with data analysts, engineers, and teams across departments to understand and translate data requirements into tailored solutions.
• Building metrics and implementing observability tools to monitor and measure data pipeline performance for early incident detection.
• Assisting in the data governance process while maintaining data privacy criteria and security regulations established by L7.
• Documenting architectures, data flows, and process automation.

Requirements

• Degree in Systems Engineering or related field.
• 10 years of experience in Business Intelligence.
• 7 years of experience in Software Engineering.
• 5 years of programming experience in Python.
• 5 years of experience in AWS, MySQL, ETL.
• 3 years of experience in Rust (optional).
• 10 years of experience in Linux.
• Experience in creating dashboards and reports.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational and multidimensional databases.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience in designing batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Experience in manipulating and processing large volumes of data.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent interpersonal relationships.
• Critical thinking.
