Profile: Who You Are

• A Systems Thinker: You are a senior engineer who views software as a living entity, prideful in creating functional, observable, reliable, and maintainable systems.
• You enjoy solving problems across the entire stack, tackling frontend bugs, backend API bottlenecks, or AWS configuration issues to completion.
• Strategic Judgment: You thrive in regulated environments where engineering decisions have real-world consequences, comfortable with ambiguity and focused on long-term building.
• The Technical Mentor: You lead by example, prioritizing sustainable, high-performing code over “heroics” or technical debt.
• Fluent in English and French.

Your Technical Toolkit

• The Modern Stack: Deep competence in React and TypeScript on the frontend, with robust backend experience in Microservices and API design.
• Cloud Native Mastery: Extensive, production-hardened experience with AWS.
• Infrastructure as Code: Proficient with Terraform to manage infrastructure precisely.
• Architecture & Reliability: Experience with Clean or Hexagonal Architecture, prioritizing observability (logging, monitoring, alerting).
• Delivery Excellence: Champion of Trunk-based development and ownership of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or equivalent).

Location: Lyon, France (Hybrid: 3 days onsite – Monday to Wednesday).

Engagement: Long-term contract/freelance.

Please note that candidates with 7+ years of post-graduate commercial experience are most likely to succeed in this role. Only candidates with current permission to work in France unrestricted will be eligible.
