Job Description

We are working with a government entity in Austin, Texas, to find a .NET developer to support an ongoing upgrade project. The role involves collaboration on various inter-government projects and platform enhancements, including a portal project to improve interactions with internal and external partners. The government is transitioning away from traditional Client Services Systems to more efficient portals. The ideal candidate will work autonomously, possess excellent communication skills, and collaborate within a small team of Engineers. The development environment is moving to .NET 6 (currently using .NET 5) with SQL as the database. Candidates should be proficient across the stack (ASP.NET Core/C# and SQL). JavaScript experience is a plus, although most work will focus on middleware and back-end development.

This is a six-month contract, requiring on-site presence downtown in the Capitol building five days a week, with the possibility of extension.

Requirements

Skills/Experience:

• Back End Development
• 3+ years of experience with .NET Core and/or C#
• MVC
• SQL

Bonus Points:

• Experience in government is welcome, but not essential
• JavaScript knowledge
• Experience with Azure
