Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Java Software Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable microservices-based applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and relational databases, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to build and enhance order management workflows in a high-performance enterprise environment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Implement event-driven architectures leveraging Apache Kafka.
  • Develop and execute automated test cases using BDD frameworks such as Cucumber, JUnit, and Mockito.
  • Manage source code using Bitbucket and handle builds using Maven/Gradle.
  • Work with Oracle and MongoDB databases to ensure data consistency, performance, and scalability.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production systems using Elastic, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Collaborate with product owners, QA, DevOps, and business teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and production support activities.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Java & Spring Boot: 3+ years
  • Microservices Architecture: 3+ years
  • Apache Kafka: 3+ years
  • Oracle Database / SQL: 3+ years
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks (Cucumber, JUnit, Mockito)
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs and distributed systems
  • Experience with Git-based version control systems (Bitbucket)

Preferred Skills:

  • MongoDB: 2+ years
  • Python: 2+ years
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Elastic Stack, Prometheus, Grafana
  • Exposure to cloud-native or containerized environments is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to work onsite and participate in in-person interviews if required
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise or retail environments is a plus
