Job Description

We are looking for the original programming lead on our Apple Sports team to shape stories around our live sports experiences and enrich narratives to grow our global audiences. The lead will be responsible for guiding the vision, development, and execution of premium original content that enhances our live sports experience. This role involves collaborating with leagues, teams, players, and internal partners to create a distinctive slate of programming that reflects Apple’s commitment to innovation, authenticity, and quality storytelling.
Responsibilities
- Set and own the creative strategy for all original programming across Apple Sports
- Develop a high-quality content slate across unscripted, studio, and digital/social formats
- Lead projects from concept through delivery with a clear editorial point of view
- Partner with executive producers, showrunners, and production teams to maintain creative excellence
- Serve as the senior editorial partner to key stakeholders at partner leagues and internally
- Navigate access, approvals, and sensitivities with discretion
- Collaborate with live production, marketing, and platform teams for cohesive storytelling

- Highly editorial, organized, and calm under pressure
- Trusted by senior stakeholders and talent
- Comfortable balancing creative ambition with operational discipline
- Passionate about sports storytelling and the Formula 1 ecosystem
- Excellent judgment, communication, and taste, proven in a diverse content portfolio
Minimum Qualifications
- 15+ years in television, streaming, or premium sports content
- Demonstrated success in developing and releasing sports-focused original content at scale
- Strong understanding of Formula 1 and global motorsports
- Experience managing complex productions and senior creative teams
- A proven creative leader with deep experience in premium, digital-forward programming
- B.A. or B.S. required

Pay & Benefits
The base pay for this role ranges from $146,800 to $274,500, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Employees may also become shareholders through participation in Apple’s stock programs, receive discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount. Benefits include comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, discounted products, free services, and educational reimbursement for advancing career-related education. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commission payments, and relocation assistance.
