Job Description

Ignite your creativity and technical expertise as a Web Designer, where you’ll craft visually stunning, user-friendly websites that captivate audiences and elevate brands. Your role will blend innovative digital design with functional interaction, ensuring every website not only looks fantastic but also delivers seamless usability. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from e-commerce platforms to corporate websites, making a tangible impact in the digital landscape. As we are a starting business, you will only use 1 computer (mine) to make this website!

Duties

  • Develop compelling website layouts using wireframing tools and layout design principles that align with brand identity and user needs.
  • Create engaging visual content employing graphic design skills with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe XD to produce high-quality graphics, logos, and UI elements.
  • Implement responsive web design techniques utilizing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and Angular to ensure optimal performance across devices.
  • Enhance website functionality through front-end development and web accessibility standards, improving usability for all users.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights that inform design improvements; analyze web analytics data using Google Analytics 360 and Adobe Analytics for ongoing optimization.
  • Integrate motion graphics and animations with Adobe After Effects or Adobe Animate to create dynamic visual effects that enhance user engagement.
  • Maintain website health through regular updates, security patches, SEO best practices, and website maintenance tasks to ensure high performance and visibility.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in digital design, interaction design, UI/UX principles, and wireframing tools such as Balsamiq or InVision.
  • Strong graphic design skills with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Sketch.
  • Solid understanding of front-end development languages including HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS/SASS), JavaScript (React, Angular), PHP, Node.js, and MySQL for dynamic website creation.
  • Familiarity with Windows 10 Home (Which is where you will make the website)
  • Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and usability best practices to create inclusive digital experiences.
  • Ability to conduct user research and apply information architecture principles for intuitive navigation structures.
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams including developers, marketers, and stakeholders.

Additional Information

Pay: $24.20 - $29.15 per hour
