Job Description
This is a remote position for an MS-SQL Developer on a contract basis, lasting 2 to 3 months, with the possibility of extension. The role is focused on analyzing, reverse-engineering, and documenting legacy SQL Server 2016 (on-premise) database logic to support a HR Enterprise Applications modernization initiative. The documentation produced will aid in the re-implementation of systems within Workday and related platforms. This position is analysis and documentation-heavy and does not involve new development assignments.
Requirements
Required Skills:
- Strong experience with MS SQL Server 2016 (on-premise environments)
- Advanced T-SQL expertise (Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, Triggers)
- Strong understanding of complex joins, CTEs, query optimization
- Experience working with legacy database systems
- Excellent analytical and documentation skills
- Ability to translate technical database logic into business-readable documentation
Good to Have:
- Exposure to Workday (HCM / Integrations)
- Experience in ERP migration or system modernization programs
- SSIS / SSRS knowledge
- Understanding of ETL and data transformation concepts
- Agile project experience
