Club Cali - Sandwiches for Friends
We are looking for a graphic designer to develop the brand identity for Club Cali, a premium ghost kitchen and catering service in Wellington inspired by California deli culture. The scope includes designing a distinctive logo and typography, with an emphasis on a retro-modern, California-cool aesthetic that feels fresh and artisanal but reliable. The branding will be used across compostable packaging, delivery vehicles, and digital platforms. Our brand should appeal to film production crews and local professionals, conveying both creativity and quality. The ideal candidate should provide strong typographic solutions and be able to deliver both a primary logo (with our slogan “Sandwiches for Friends”) and a simplified, stamp-style mark for stickers and social media.

Imagine the perfect black-pepper-crusted pastrami, house-roasted turkey, and vibrant, crunchy salads, all designed to fuel the long hours of film sets and edit suites. We aren’t just a kitchen; we are the high-energy, sun-drenched lunch break that people actually look forward to. The Aesthetic Visually, we sit at the intersection of “Retro-Cool” and “Modern-Artisanal.” We draw inspiration from 1970s surf culture, sun-faded seaside palettes, and the tactile, honest feel of brown-paper-bag delis. While our roots are laid-back, our execution is sharp and reliable. We need an identity that feels at home on a dusty film set, a high-end production office, or a delivery vehicle winding through the Miramar hills—a brand that looks as fresh, bold, and satisfying as the sandwiches we build. This unique background blends high-level technical expertise with a lifelong passion for artisanal hospitality and property management.
