Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Database Architect to join our team at Norton Rose Fulbright, a law firm. The individual will be responsible for architecting and developing scalable database solutions using Microsoft Fabric and SQL Server. The role includes developing, implementing, and optimizing ETL packages, stored procedures, triggers, views, and functions. The successful candidate will analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements, develop procedures for data migration, create ERD designs, and generate Power BI reports. Additionally, the role involves leading cloud database migration projects, ensuring minimal downtime, and integrating various data sources to create unified models.

Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess the following:

• 15+ years of experience in database development and architecture
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Fabric, SQL Server, and ETL processes
• Ability to analyze and optimize database performance
• Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) for database changes deployment automation
• Capability to implement security measures to protect sensitive data
• Excellent documentation skills for database designs and migration processes
• Experience leading cloud database migration projects
• Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to meet business requirements
• Must possess a USC visa

Additional Information

Location: Will work in the CST time zone. The position starts as a 2-month contract with possible extensions and is remote.

Interview Process: Candidates will undergo a 2-step interview process, interacting first with our internal team and then with the customer.

Pay: The hourly rate for this position ranges from $55.00 to $65.00.
