Job Description

This is a 100% onsite position located in Woodlawn, MD, where the selected candidate will work 5 days a week. The main responsibilities of the role include:

• Design, develop, deploy and support Tableau dashboards.
• Participating in Requirements and Design discussions with project stakeholders; developing and documenting business requirements, impact assessments, process documentation, and other related materials.
• Translating business requirements into ETL and report specifications.
• Designing, developing, and implementing interactive analytic reports and dashboards.
• Attending team meetings to understand and refine business features.
• Providing status updates on assigned tasks during regular customer meetings.
• Analyzing and troubleshooting existing data models, PL/SQL, and Linux scripts for performance optimization and migration into the Enterprise Data Warehouse.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of experience in computer science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience as a Senior Data Analyst/ETL Developer or BI Developer.
• 10+ years of experience with data mapping and analysis for supporting ETL efforts for Business Intelligence (BI) projects.
• 8+ years of experience on an Agile development team, preferably Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust, as this is a contract requirement.

Required Skills

• Overall 10+ years’ experience in Data Analysis, ETL Development, and Business Intelligence.
• Experience in supporting ETL efforts for Business Intelligence (BI) projects.
• Strong experience in participating in Requirements and Design discussions with project stakeholders; ability to develop and document business requirements and translate them into ETL and report specifications.
• Strong understanding of data recovery and job rerun needs in an ETL environment.
• Proficiency in writing scripts using Oracle PL/SQL.
• Hands-on experience with data warehouse Business Intelligence (BI) / Management Information (MI) reporting environments, including knowledge of client-server and mainframe-based systems.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Scrum and/or Kanban Agile development processes and ceremonies.
• Knowledge of data mapping/analysis.
• Python experience for data extraction and manipulation.
• Strong experience with SQL, mapping, and integration of databases.
• Proficiency in writing scripts using Oracle PL/SQL and PostgreSQL.

Desired Skills

• Experience designing and developing Tableau visualization solutions.
• Experience in developing interactive dashboards, charts, pivots, and reports in Tableau Desktop 2021.1 or higher.
• Familiarity with extracting data from multiple data sources such as DB2, Oracle, and flat files.
• Experience scripting in a Linux environment for automating ETL solutions and data migration jobs.
• Knowledge of when to use plain SQL versus PL/SQL.
• Working knowledge of analyzing and developing optimal code for processing large volumes of data.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise data warehouses.
