Job Description

Renew Life Church โ€“ Midland Campus is seeking a skilled and dependable Front of House (FOH) Audio Engineer to lead live sound mixing for Sunday services and occasional weekly events. This role is responsible for delivering a clear, dynamic, and distraction-free audio experience that supports worship and communication with excellence. The FOH Engineer will oversee front-of-house mixing while assisting with system setup, troubleshooting, and overall stage audio management. While musicians mix their own in-ear monitors, this role will support troubleshooting and ensure seamless integration between FOH and monitor systems.

Schedule & Availability

  • Required: Sundays (weekly)
  • Additional: Occasional midweek rehearsals, services, and special events

Key Responsibilities

  • Live Mixing & Service Execution: Mix Front of House audio for live worship services and events, ensure vocal clarity, musical balance, and consistent sonic quality, and support the worship and production teams in delivering distraction-free services.
  • System Setup & Troubleshooting: Setup, line check, and troubleshoot sound systems prior to services, quickly diagnose and resolve signal flow, RF, and system issues, and assist musicians with monitor troubleshooting as needed.
  • Stage & Audio Management: Maintain organized cabling and a clean stage audio environment, oversee proper mic placement, patching, and input labeling, assist with backline and stage setup as needed, and ensure all gear is powered, tested, and service-ready.

Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Experience with Allen & Heath consoles (dLive, Avantis)
  • Proficiency with Waves SuperRack
  • Working knowledge of macOS and Ableton Live
  • Experience with Shure Wireless Workbench and PSM900 systems
  • Strong understanding of signal flow and live audio systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot audio issues quickly and calmly under pressure

  • Hands-on experience with audio equipment setup, teardown, and stage management
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively with worship leaders, musicians, and production volunteers

Additional Information

Job Type: Contract
