MIRIAM's Delirium

I’m seeking a freelance 2D animator to create a one-minute proof-of-concept short for a crowdfunding campaign supporting a new animated series titled “MIRIAM"

This piece will function as a stylized slice from the first episode and introduce the central character, Miriam — a vampire navigating a surreal, modern nightlife setting.

The short follows a tight sequence:
• A group of friends in a bar bathroom take hallucinogens.
• On the dance floor, Miriam unknowingly bites one of them.
• After tasting something unexpected in his blood, she begins to experience a visually striking hallucination.

The tone blends dark humor, horror, and psychedelic surrealism. The hallucination sequence is a key creative moment, and I’m especially open to imaginative visual interpretation in this section.

Stylistic references include:
• Gorillaz (graphic stylization and attitude)
• Danny Phantom (clean supernatural action)
• Invader Zim (bold design and offbeat tone)

The goal is to create something visually distinctive, rhythmically paced, and strong enough to anchor a crowdfunding campaign for the larger series.

I have additional visual concepts, tone references, and shot ideas prepared and am happy to collaborate closely. Creative input is welcome, and I value artists who bring personality and strong visual instincts to the table.

This project is important to me, and I’m looking for someone who wants to help shape something original, stylized, and memorable.
