Job Description

We’re seeking a dynamic, passionate Freelance Musician to bring energy, creativity, and professionalism to weddings and events we DJ. This role offers flexible scheduling and competitive pay. Bat City Beats is a leading wedding DJ and Entertainment company in Austin, TX, providing exceptional DJ services for hundreds of weddings each year. Couples trust us to deliver unforgettable moments, and many are now requesting live music to complement our DJs. We are expanding our roster of talented live musicians to meet this demand.

Requirements

• Prior experience performing at weddings.
• Ability to perform a wide range of musical genres (jazz, R&B, pop, classic, etc.)
• Strong communication skills and able to reply within 24 hours when contacted.
• Reliable transportation, professional, punctual, and prepared with your own equipment.
• Comfortable jamming with a DJ (especially saxophonists).

Musical Skills

• Saxophone (highly preferred - ability to jam with a DJ is a big plus)
• Violin
• Piano
• Harp
• Drums / Percussion

Role Details

• This is an on-call, contract position.
• You will be contacted for availability when live music is requested by a client.
• Pay is competitive and based on experience, event duration, and travel distance.
