Job Description

We’re Hiring: Podcast Producer / Editor for a book-focused podcast centered on thoughtful, high-level conversations with publishers, bestselling authors, debut authors, book influencers, and passionate readers. We are looking for a creative partner who can turn powerful conversations into a polished, professional show.

The podcast will feature in-depth Q&As and conversations that explore the publishing industry, craft and storytelling, author journeys, marketing and BookTok culture, the reader experience, and cultural conversations within books. The tone will be smart, engaging, warm, and well-produced, balancing professionalism with authenticity.

As our Podcast Producer / Editor, you will lead the full production cycle of each episode, including:

  • Structuring interviews and shaping episode outlines
  • Coordinating recording sessions and guest logistics
  • Editing audio for clarity, pacing, and narrative flow
  • Enhancing episodes with music, transitions, and sound design
  • Preparing episodes for publishing and distribution
  • Writing compelling show notes and promotional copy
  • Creating short-form clips for social media
  • Reviewing analytics and audience feedback to refine strategy

This is a hands-on production role with creative input and strategic influence.

Requirements

✨ What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience producing and editing podcasts (portfolio required)
  • Strong understanding of interview-based formats
  • Ability to shape long-form conversations into compelling episodes
  • Proficiency with industry-standard editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Audition, Descript, etc.)
  • Strong writing skills for show notes and promotional materials
  • Understanding of social media and podcast growth strategies
  • Ability to manage guest scheduling and communications professionally
  • Strong attention to detail and deadlines

Bonus (but not required):

  • Experience working with authors, creatives, or media professionals
