Job Description

Position Title: Junior Web Developer

Work Set-up: Work Onsite

Schedule: Monday – Friday / Night Shift / 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM PHT

Holiday: PH Holidays

Salary: Php 18,000.00 – Php 20,000.00

Our client is a data research and IT software development company that has been experiencing rapid growth. They engage their sponsors in the fields of Financial Quantitative Research, Data Engineering, DevOps, Applications Development, Cyber Security, and High-Performance Computing.

The responsibilities of a Junior Web Developer include writing well designed, testable, efficient code, creating website layouts/user interfaces using standard HTML/CSS practices, and maintaining, expanding, and scaling websites.

Requirements

Qualifications for Junior Web Developer:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a similar discipline is strongly preferred.
• At least 1 year of work experience in web development/programming or similar industry is strongly preferred. Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply.
• Proficiency in technologies such as Python (Streamlit, FastAPI), JavaScript/TypeScript (Next.js, React), PHP (WordPress), PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, CSS, AWS, Docker, or have used these during internships or academic projects if a fresh graduate.
• Experience with Git, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and system infrastructure, and basic understanding of shell scripting is a plus.
• Strong understanding of modern HTML/CSS and web design principles.
• Knowledge of software prototyping and UX design tools.
• Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, object-oriented programming, and web application development.
• Experience with network diagnostics and analytics tools is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of SEO principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking abilities.
• Experience working with content management systems.
• Strong conceptual thinking, resourcefulness, and attention to detail.
• Good communication and writing skills to collaborate effectively in a team.
