Job Description

At HALSTEAD, the Squarespace Website Designer works independently and with a team, with flexible hours, creating unique emotion-provoking designs, endlessly discovering inspiration, and pushing the boundaries on design norms. You’ll be part of a passionate team shaping the creative future of the $100B+ landscape/outdoor living industry. The role involves working remotely in a supportive environment that encourages learning and challenges creativity.

This position includes website design responsibilities for various clients, enabling you to gain new skills while managing a wide range of projects. You’ll create cohesive and powerful brands across multiple platforms and mediums. High-level tasks include design strategy planning, website creation using graphic design principles, and developing innovative design concepts.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should have:

• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Suite and Canva.
• Experience designing websites on Squarespace (mandatory) and Wix (preferred).
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript, and custom code features on Squarespace.
• A proactive approach to researching and implementing design trends.
• A track record of producing designs that adhere to basic design principles.
• The ability to appropriately allocate time based on task complexity.

Additional Information

Pay for the role ranges from $26 to $35 per hour, depending on experience. Candidates must have experience with Squarespace to be considered for the position. Resumes lacking this experience will likely not be taken into account.
