Back-End Developer is needed in United Kingdom.
I am an experienced UK equities trader seeking a senior backend developer to help build a backend system for ingesting financial news via API, applying structured rule-based classification logic using Boolean rules and weighted scoring, and storing results in a database. The backend should also allow for the reprocessing of historical data. The project requires strong experience in backend architecture, API development, database design, rule engine or conditional logic systems, job scheduling, queue systems, and cloud hosting. Experience with Python (FastAPI or Django), Laravel/PHP, or financial data systems as well as performance optimization would be a bonus. The goal is to deliver a robust MVP with a scalable and modular architecture suitable for future enhancements.
