Job Description

ICNC Films is a video production and marketing agency that creates high-performing Meta (Facebook & Instagram) video ads for Illinois-based service businesses. We don’t use stock footage or cookie-cutter templates—every piece of content we produce is filmed on location at real job sites with real people. We’re looking for a freelance videographer to travel to client locations across Illinois and capture authentic, engaging footage for our video ad campaigns, which include home service businesses like roofing, HVAC, remodeling, tree care, and more.

Responsibilities

• Travel to client locations throughout Illinois to film on-site footage (job sites, behind-the-scenes, testimonials, direct-to-camera ads).
• Follow provided shot lists and creative direction while bringing your own visual eye to each shoot.
• Capture dynamic, scroll-stopping footage—not just static talking heads. Think movement, angles, b-roll that tells a story.
• Direct business owners and their teams on camera to get natural, authentic performances.
• Upload raw footage to our editing team after each shoot (no editing required).
• Communicate professionally with clients on-site, representing ICNC Films with a positive attitude.
• Manage your own schedule and equipment for each shoot assignment.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of videography experience, preferably with short-form or ad content.
• Own your own camera gear capable of shooting in 4K.
• Reliable transportation—you’ll be driving to various job sites across Illinois.
• Strong people skills—you’ll be working directly with business owners and their crews.
• An eye for creating engaging, dynamic visuals—not just pointing and shooting.
• Comfortable directing non-actors on camera and pulling out authentic, natural performances.
• Self-motivated and dependable—you manage your own time and show up ready to work.
• Based in Illinois or willing to travel throughout the state.

Compensation & Details

• Pay: $150–$250 per project (based on location distance and scope).
• Estimated volume: 7–14 shoot days per month.
• Contract/freelance—flexible scheduling, consistent work.
• All shoots are within Illinois.
• No editing required—just shoot and upload.

Bonus (Not Required)

• Experience filming for Meta/social media ad campaigns.
• Familiarity with home service industries.
• Drone footage capabilities.
• Audio recording experience (lav mics, etc.).
