Job Description

We’re looking for a local freelance videographer who can also edit to ride along with one of our pest control technicians and capture authentic, real-world footage for marketing and social media. This is a consistent weekly gig (not a one-off shoot) and is ideal for someone who enjoys documentary-style, behind-the-scenes content over highly produced commercial work.

Requirements

• Based in or near Kingston / Hudson Valley, NY
• Own professional or prosumer video + audio equipment
• Comfortable filming on residential and commercial properties
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to work professionally around customers and technicians
• Editing experience required
• Ability to meet weekly turnaround times

What You’ll Be Doing

• Ride along with a pest control technician during scheduled service calls
• Capture natural, unscripted footage including:
• Technician working in the field (exteriors + interiors when permitted)
• Inspections, tools, treatments, and educational moments
• Short talking moments from the tech (when appropriate)
• Testimonials
• Edit footage into:
• Short-form videos (Reels, TikTok, Shorts)
• Simple brand-ready clips for ads and website use
• Deliver clean, organized files and finished edits on a regular cadence

Style We’re Looking For

• Authentic, raw, documentary-style footage
• Minimal staging or scripting
• Clean, clear, social-first edits (not overly polished or cinematic)

Time Commitment

• Approximately 8 hours per week
• Filming during weekday business hours
• Editing can be done off-site

Nice to Have (But Not Required)

• Experience creating content for home services brands
• Understanding of short-form social trends
• Ability to repurpose footage across platforms

Compensation

• Paid weekly or hourly (filming + editing)
• Rate based on experience and deliverables

Pay: $300.00 - $400.00 per week
