Job Description

Newscape Studios, Inc. is seeking Freelance Cutout/Rigged Character Animators skilled in Toon Boom Harmony to join our team. We operate a dozen YouTube channels with over 10 million total subscribers, creating content based on popular video games such as Fortnite and Minecraft, as well as original animations. We are focused on producing a range of videos for a young audience through animation and machinima.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an organized and efficient workflow balancing quality and output needs.

• Responsible for approximately 25 shots / 2.5 minutes of animation per week.

• Perform expert-level cutout/rigged character animation in Toon Boom Harmony.

• Navigate and understand Toon Boom node view and tools.

• Execute light compositing work in Harmony (lighting and effects).

• Create strong draftmanship assets, poses, and drawing subs.

• Conduct simple to moderate level frame-by-frame / hand animation.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2+ years of experience with Toon Boom Harmony.

• At least 1+ year of studio production experience.

• Ability to adapt to a variety of animation styles.

• Capability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Strong literacy with written, verbal, and storyboard notes.

• Effective communication skills.

• Excellent listening skills.

• Strong time management abilities.

• Comfort in meeting deadlines and daily quotas.

• Attention to detail and consistency.

• A demo reel/portfolio is required for consideration.

Compensation

Competitive base pay of $880 per production week. This is a remote/work from home, Independent Contractor Position.
