We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Digital Imaging Technician (DIT) to join our film production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing digital media during production, ensuring the integrity of the footage, and facilitating a smooth workflow between the camera and post-production teams.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- On-Set Data Management:
- Oversee the capture and organization of digital footage, ensuring proper file naming and storage protocols are followed.
- Transfer and backup footage to multiple drives, verifying data integrity and redundancy.
- Monitor camera settings and assist the Director of Photography in achieving the desired visual output.
- Color Management:
- Implement color grading and correction workflows in real-time, providing looks that align with the Director and DP’s vision.
- Prepare and apply LUTs (Look-Up Tables) for on-set monitoring to assist in achieving the desired aesthetic.
- Technical Support:
- Troubleshoot technical issues with camera equipment and digital media throughout the shoot.
- Provide guidance on the use of cameras and related technology to the crew as needed.
- Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with the camera department, Director, and post-production team to ensure a cohesive workflow.
- Prepare dailies and assist in the review process, facilitating smooth transitions to post-production.
- General Responsibilities:
- Maintain organized records of all footage, metadata, and camera settings for future reference.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in digital imaging and workflow management.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment on set.
Additional Information
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $16.40 - $18.00 per hour
