Job Description

A world-renowned performing arts organization seeks an experienced Freelance Web Producer to support the development and maintenance of digital assets for its summer programming season. This role is essential to ensuring that web content is timely, accurate, and aligned with the organization’s artistic vision and brand standards. The ideal candidate is technically savvy, highly communicative, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, update, and maintain web pages in our custom CMS, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment.

• Prepare, optimize, and upload web-ready images (cropping, resizing, retouching, and file management).

• Organize, proofread and QA content to uphold editorial standards.

• Work closely with marketing, programming, and consumer product teams to publish timely and compelling digital content.

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and basic web production tools or CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, Sitecore).

• Strong image editing and asset optimization skills (Adobe Creative Suite).

• Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and ability to catch inconsistencies.

• Excellent proofreading and content-quality control abilities.

• Ability to work quickly and calmly under tight deadlines.

• Genuine passion for the arts and enthusiasm for supporting creative programming.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices.

• Understanding of UX/UI principles and responsive design.

• Experience with SEO, analytics tools, or structured metadata.

• Knowledge of project management systems and workflow tools (Monday.com, Asana, Jira).

• Basic understanding of JavaScript for troubleshooting or enhancing components.

• Comfort collaborating with designers, developers, and content creators.

Location: Remote
