Job Description
Stanford’s Online High School is seeking a versatile storyteller and digital strategist to lead the narrative for the 20th anniversary campaign and rebranding project. The ideal candidate will drive content for a web refresh, grow the digital community, and engage in both brand strategy and hands-on graphic design. The position involves working on-site a minimum of two days per week and is eligible for a Hybrid Work Arrangement.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the drafting and editing of communications for the OHS 20th-anniversary campaigns to ensure community-wide engagement through tailored storytelling.
- Write, revise, and publish high-impact content for the OHS and Stanford Middle School Scholars website in support of rebranding initiatives, collaborating with vendors and internal marketing teams.
- Develop various communication pieces for print, email marketing, and digital media; copyedit material for publication.
- Perform basic graphic design using software applications in line with branding requirements.
- Compile illustrations, photos, and copy for digital content and websites.
- Implement and execute integrated marketing communications and brand strategy across multiple channels.
- Strategize to grow a digital community through social media, paid ads, blogs, and the web, including scheduling posts and engaging with followers.
- Assist with photographing school events to create a library of visual assets for marketing materials.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience in digital marketing, communications, and copy editing.
- Capability to edit content and build new web pages.
- Exceptional attention to detail and proofreading skills; prior experience as a copyeditor or writer required.
- The ability to apply discretion and judgment regarding content release implications.
- Strong interpersonal skills for relationship building.
- Ability to interpret and integrate feedback from team members and managers.
- Effective communication skills with a diverse audience, including students, faculty, staff, donors, and external audiences.
