Job Title: DevOps Engineer / Release Manager

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer / Release Manager to manage and coordinate release activities for GCIP components supporting the FCP suite of applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in CI/CD pipelines, Git-based version control, release management, and automation, and will collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure secure, stable, and timely deployments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end release lifecycle for GCIP components including Cloud Management (CM), Identity Management (IM), Monitoring (MO), and Event Source.
• Collaborate with application development, QA, and infrastructure teams across release phases.
• Maintain and communicate release schedules aligned with PI planning, sprint cycles, and system demos.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and release automation processes.
• Define and implement Git branching strategies and version control standards across repositories.
• Conduct release readiness reviews including feature tagging, test coverage validation, and stakeholder approvals.
• Ensure proper rollback strategies, risk mitigation plans, and incident response procedures are in place.
• Track and report release metrics and continuously improve release quality, stability, and velocity.
• Support automation initiatives to improve release processes and operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering, Release Management, or Deployment Management.
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools and pipeline automation.
• Hands-on experience with Git version control systems (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, SVN).
• Experience implementing Git branching strategies and release workflows.
• Knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, React/ReactJS, and JavaScript-based application deployments.
• Experience coordinating releases across multiple Agile teams and environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Ability to manage high-impact releases under tight timelines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with GitHub Actions or other DevOps automation tools.
• Experience with risk management, rollback planning, and incident remediation.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong automation mindset with experience building scripts or automation tools.
