Job Description
AgileEngine is seeking a Middle/Senior Backend Engineer to architect and scale a modern Ads platform that powers campaign management, targeting, delivery, and reporting. The individual will design high-performance backend systems and APIs that process large volumes of advertising data with reliability and low latency. The role involves influencing platform architecture, driving engineering best practices, and collaborating with product and data teams to create scalable AdTech solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
Must Haves
- 3-4 years of software development experience building scalable systems (using any backend frameworks).
- Experience with AdTech.
- General familiarity with the programmatic advertising ecosystem (e.g., DSPs, SSPs, ad exchanges, Prebid.js, Prebid Server, Google Ad Manager, OpenRTB, identity and addressability solutions, and ad operations workflows).
- Strong computer science fundamentals based on a degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Solid understanding of distributed system architecture focusing on availability, reliability, and performance.
- Strong focus on execution and delivery of products.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a focus on quality and long-term goals.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to provide guidance, mentorship, and support.
- A leadership mindset.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment where learning and adaptability are key.
- Upper-intermediate English level.
Nice to Haves
- Familiarity with the programmatic advertising ecosystem, including DSPs, SSPs, ad exchanges, affiliate programs, and ad operations workflows.
- Experience with technologies and standards such as Prebid.js, Prebid Server, Google Ad Manager, Amazon UAM/TAM, OpenRTB, and identity and addressability solutions.
