Job Description

Position Role and Title: Software Engineer for Altapure High Level Disinfection (HLD) systems and products. This is initially a temporary position to complete a project. Most tasks can be done remotely with debugging to be performed on-site.

Description: The software engineer is responsible for the development and maintenance of the firmware for embedded controller applications in high-quality OEM products along with the user interface (HMI) for these products. The candidate must work effectively as a productive team member, be self-motivated, and require limited supervision.

Essential Job Functions:

• A. Design, develop, and debug Embedded Microcontroller control programs.
• B. Develop Windows applications for controls and data collection.
• C. Translate real-world requirements into reliable and accurate algorithms.
• D. Work with the rest of the design team to develop and test models and prototypes.
• E. Perform design validation of all programming developed.
• F. Develop reporting and analysis applications for process validation.
• G. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

Experience with Microchip MPLAB and PIC microcontrollers is preferred.

Working knowledge of various programming languages including C, C++, and .Net is required.

Experience programming embedded controllers for real-time control applications is essential.

Experience developing user interfaces for medical or industrial products is necessary.

Working knowledge of database applications is preferred.
