Job Description

This role is open for a backfill, aiming to integrate a Senior Developer who can assist with code reviews, troubleshoot, and provide guidance to 3-5 junior to mid-level developers, with a maximum of 5 at any one time. The candidate should ideally have design and architecture experience in project-based work.

We are looking for a Senior SCADA Developer with GeoSCADA/Aveva PI experience, which includes asset framework design and development. Essential skills include proficiency in GeoSCADA, PI, and InTouch.

The SCADA and Software Engineer will design, implement, and maintain SCADA systems for industrial automation processes, ensuring the system can monitor and control various industrial processes effectively. A motivated candidate with a diverse background in industrial automation technologies will be a great fit, particularly as innovative technologies may emerge consistent with the growth of the Client and AVEVA portfolios.

The responsibilities include designing and developing SCADA systems utilizing various software suites, such as InTouch and OSI PI, collaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements, and integrating SCADA systems with historian software for data management. Additional tasks entail scripting, conducting system testing, troubleshooting, and providing technical support to end-users. Continuous training to keep abreast of SCADA technology advancements is encouraged.

Most work is currently remote, with the potential for travel up to 25% for customer meetings or deployments.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience, with strong knowledge of SCADA systems and data integration.

• Experience with AVEVA (formerly Wonderware) software products, including System Platform, Operations Control, InTouch, and Predictive Analytics.

• Knowledge of computer networking architectures, topologies, and hardware, as well as proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Visual Basic, or C#.

• Familiarity with operational data historians (e.g., AVEVA, Wonderware, OSI PI).

• Experience in configuring and troubleshooting industry-standard communication protocols like Modbus, OPC UA/DA, DNP3, and TCP/IP.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail. Willingness to travel to customer sites when needed.

• Proven experience with a focus on AVEVA/Wonderware System Platform and OSI PI.
