Job Description

Galaxy Sunset Designs is looking for a creative, motivated, and growth-minded Web Design & Marketing Assistant to help support client websites, branding, content, and social media. This role is for someone who already has some experience in web design, marketing, content, or social media, but is still hungry to learn more, sharpen their skills, and grow alongside a creative business. You will work on real projects for real businesses, assisting with website updates, page design, content formatting, branding support, social media tasks, and marketing projects. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys design and digital marketing and wants to build something meaningful while being dependable, coachable, and eager to improve.

Requirements

• Some hands-on experience in web design, marketing, content creation, social media, or a related field
• Familiarity with WordPress, Elementor, or other website builders
• A strong eye for clean design, layout, spacing, and branding
• Basic understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing
• Comfortable using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar tools
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Able to take direction, apply feedback, and keep improving
• Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude
• Genuinely hungry to grow, learn new skills, and be part of building something.

Preferred But Not Required

• Experience with Shopify or WooCommerce
• Basic knowledge of SEO
• Experience writing or editing website or social media content
• Familiarity with service-based businesses, branding, or client work
• Light photo or video editing experience

Responsibilities

• Assist with website design, page building, and content updates in WordPress, Elementor, Shopify, or similar platforms
• Help format and build service pages, landing pages, blog posts, and other website content
• Support branding consistency across websites, graphics, and marketing materials
• Create or edit visual content using Canva, Adobe tools, Figma, or similar platforms
• Help with social media content organization, scheduling, posting, and light content support
• Assist with marketing tasks including captions, promotional content, blog formatting, and general brand support
• Support basic SEO tasks such as title tags, meta descriptions, image alt text, internal linking, and page structure
• Make website edits, image swaps, formatting corrections, and general content updates
• Help keep projects organized and moving across multiple clients and brands
• Communicate clearly, follow through, and be open to feedback and improvement

Additional Information

This position is part-time, contract, and freelance with a pay range of $18.00 - $25.00 per hour. Benefits include a referral program and the work location is remote.
