Job Description

We are seeking a Java Developer to join the Financial Crimes technology team and help build a modern Financial Crimes platform, initially focused on the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) journey. The ideal candidate will be a strong full-stack developer with experience building modern web applications using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, Kotlin, and Java, and working in Agile environments to deliver scalable and user-friendly applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop front-end components using React and JavaScript/TypeScript to deliver intuitive user experiences.
  • Build and maintain backend services using Java, Kotlin, and Eclipse Vert.x.
  • Collaborate with product owners, designers, and engineers in an Agile development environment.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and code reviews.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues across the full technology stack.
  • Ensure high-quality code through testing and automation frameworks.
  • Maintain accountability for code ownership and long-term application support.

Requirements

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in full-stack application development.
  • Strong proficiency in React, JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Experience developing backend applications using Java and Kotlin.
  • Experience working with Eclipse Vert.x or similar reactive frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD workflows.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in financial services, risk, compliance, or AML platforms.
  • Experience building scalable enterprise applications.
  • Strong focus on clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • Ability to actively participate in technical discussions and design reviews.
