Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Software Backend Engineer to join our engineering team, either remotely or in a hybrid capacity (2-3 days in the office). The ideal candidate will be responsible for learning new concepts quickly, designing and building robust infrastructure to meet regulatory demands, and working closely with Product and Design to enhance customer experience. Our tech stack is built on Python, React, Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform.
Requirements
- Experience at a well-known, high-growth tech startup.
- Backend expertise (front-end engineers will be denied).
- Minimum of 7-10+ years of software engineering experience in relevant technologies.
- Must reside in the United States and have experience building quality software applications at scale.
- Resume must demonstrate promotions and career progression.
- Preference for candidates in NYC or SF; remote candidates from well-known fintech companies are acceptable.
- Strong communication skills and ability to balance product and technical requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science preferred.
- Proficient in building scalable systems quickly.
- Experience in web/mobile application development, distributed systems, or infrastructure management.
- Excellent time management skills suited for a fast-paced startup environment.
Other Information
Relocation is not needed for this position. The candidate will be joining a Series C company transforming the mortgage servicing industry and expected to drive significant business impact within a complex regulatory environment. Interview process will consist of 3-4 interviews.
